25-26 PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Zane Middle School Students and Families,
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year at Zane Middle School! I'm incredibly excited and honored to serve as your principal, and I'm looking forward to a year filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and success. Whether you're a returning student or new to our community, I extend a warm welcome to all of you.
At Zane, we're dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every student can excel academically, socially, and emotionally. Our team of educators is committed to inspiring a passion for learning and helping each student achieve their full potential. As we kick off this new academic year, I want to highlight the importance of maintaining a positive and respectful school culture. We expect everyone in our community to show kindness, empathy, and respect. By working together to foster a safe and inclusive environment, we ensure that everyone feels valued and supported.
I’m absolutely thrilled to introduce Mr. Jonathan Gentner, our new Assistant Principal! Mr. Gentner joins us from South Lake Tahoe, California, bringing a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for student success. He's spent the last three years teaching English Language Arts at a middle school in South Lake Tahoe, and before that, he dedicated three years to teaching ELA in Reno, Nevada. His extensive background in English Language Arts education will be a fantastic asset to our school as he embarks on his administrative career. I'm eager to work closely with Mr. Gentner and encourage everyone to extend a warm welcome as he transitions to Humboldt County and becomes an integral part of our Zane Middle School family.
